On Saturday 1st November, James Hamilton, author of the acclaimed biography “Constable – A Portrait” introduced us to the passionate correspondence between John Constable and Maria Bicknell, who eventually married. He was ably assisted by Katharine Eustace and Shirley Steventon, with Philip Towler on the organ.
